Applications are invited On-line through the proforma Application to be made available on WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) from 10/11/2009 to 31/12/2009 (to 28/12/2009 for payment of fees) for recruitment to the post of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in A.P. Collegiate Education Service.
The Commission has dispensed with the sale of applications through HPOs / Sales Counter of
Commission’s office. The desirous eligible Candidates may apply ON-LINE by satisfying themselves with theterms and conditions of this recruitment.

Educational Qualifications:- i) Good academic record with a minimum of 55% of the marks or an
equivalent Grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Masters Degree level, in the relevant subject, obtained from the Universities recognized in India.
ii) Should have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC or SLET conducted by the APPSC (formerly by A.P. College Service Commission.)
N.B.:1. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided, from (55% to 50% of marks) at the Master’s Level for theSC/ST category.
2. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided, (from 55% to 50% of marks) to the Ph.D., Degree holder who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991.
3. Candidates possessing Ph.D., are exempted from passing (NET/SLET) [In terms of UGC (Minimum Qualifications required for the appointment & Career Advancement of Teachers in Universities & Institutions affiliated to it) (3rd Amendment) Regulation, 2009 and hence subject to receipt of amendment to the Rules issued in G.O. Ms. No. 47 Higher Education (CE.I-1) Department., dt. 14/05/2007 from the State Government.]
Detailed Notification with breakup of vacancies, scale of pay, age, community, Educational qualifications and other instructions along with prescribed Application proforma may be viewed at WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) from 10/11/2009. After filling the necessary details, the challan will be generated in downloadable/printable PDF. Candidates are required to take printout of the challan. The Candidates are required to pay the amount indicated in the challan in any branch of State Bank of India across the country / AP Online centres and fill up application form ONLINE as detailed below.
IMPORTANT:
• The Candidate should read the Commission’s Notification and other instructions available in User’s Guide carefully before applying for the Recruitment and enter the particulars properly in the Application though ON-LINE.
• Candidates are required to retain Copy of Application form with Reference Id No. & Fee paid Challan with them for reference.
• Candidates have to submit applications only through online mode, Hand written/ Typed/ Photostat copies/ Printed Application Form will not be entertained either by APPSC directly or by Post Office nor in person.
• Candidates are advised to submit their applications through on-line well in advance of the last date to avoid last day rush.

How to pay Fees and fill in the Application Form.
I Step:- The Candidate has to log-on to the WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) and enter his/her Basic Details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Community.
II Step:- Immediately on entering the above details the Applicant will get Challan Form to pay the Fee at AP Online centers /State Bank of India.
III Step:- The Applicant should pay the prescribed Fee in any one of the A.P. On-line centers / State Bank of India and obtain Fee paid Challan with Journal Number in the first instance.
IV Step:- On the next working day after payment of Fee the Applicant should again visit WEBSITE and enter the Journal Number to get the format of Application. The applicant has to invariably fill all the columns in the Application and submit On-line .
Last date for payment of Fee at AP Online/SBI is 28/12/2009.
Last date for submission of Application is 31/12/2009.

Syllabus for Written Test of BANK OF BARODA TO BE HELD IN JANUARY2010

Written test will be Objective & Descriptive
i) Objective Tests (120 Minutes, 200 Questions, 300 Marks):
1. Test of Reasoning Ability (100 Questions, 150 Marks)
2. Test of Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions, 75 Marks)
3. Test of General Awareness on current developments (50 Questions, 75 Marks)
Candidates have to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the objective test i.e. 40% for General Category (35% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD) and 50% marks in all the objective test taken together for General Category (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD).
Negative Marks: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
ii) Descriptive Tests (60 Minutes, 5 Questions, 100 Marks):
Higher order cognitive abilities to assess knowledge on current developments and communication skills. There will be 5 compulsory questions with internal options for 100 marks
Note: The minimum qualifying marks in the descriptive test shall be 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC / PWD candidates) and the Marks so obtained shall be added to the marks obtained in the Objective Test, for preparing merit list. The descriptive papers will be assessed only of those candidates who qualify in all the objective tests and also rank sufficiently high.
iii) Interview (100 Marks)
Maximum marks for interview will be 100. Minimum qualifying marks in interview are 50% for General Category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A) NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP
A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview conducted by the Bank/IBPS but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
B) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Minimum 60% marks for Science graduates (55 % for SC/ST/PWD) & 55% for
graduates in other streams (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in aggregate from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Government of India with the same percentages as stipulated above.
Note:
1. Candidates with additional qualifications as MBA, CA, CFA , MCA etc. shall
be preferred.
2. The candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification as on
01.10.2009
3. COMPUTER LITERACY - The basic knowledge in operating computer systems in
Windows mode, knowledge of MS-Word/Office, Spread Sheets like MS-Excel
and Internet & Email familiarity is an essential qualification which a candidate
must either possess before joining the bank services or acquire the same within a period of 6 months of joining the bank, in case the candidate is selected for
appointment. For this purpose, the candidate is required to submit a certificate in support of this computer related qualification.
C) AGE – Minimum age – 21 years & Maximum age – 30 years as on 01.10.2009
i.e. applicants should have been born between 01.10.1988 & 30.09.1979 (both
days inclusive)
RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT
i) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Candidates by 5 years.
ii) In the case of ex-servicemen and commissioned officers including
ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have
been released on completion of assignment (including those whose
assignment is due to be completed within the next one year from the last
date for receipt of application other than by way of dismissal or discharge
on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical
disability attributable to military service or on availment, by 5 years for
selection through written test and interview subject to ceiling as per
Government guidelines.
iii) Other Backward Classes candidates by 3 years
iv) All persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of
J&K state during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 by 5 years.
v) Physically Challenged category candidates a) by 15 years for SC/ST, b) by
13 years for OBC & c) by 10 years for General.
Note:
a) An Ex-serviceman who has once joined a government job on the civil side
after availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-serviceman for his reemployment, his Ex-serviceman status for the purpose of re-employment
in government ceases.
b) The relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per Government of India
guidelines.
All persons eligible for age relaxation under (iv) above must produce the domicile certificate at the time of interview, from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by the Government of J&K, to the effect that the candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the state of J&K during 1st January 1980 to the 31st day of December 1989.

JET AIRWAYS TERMINATE SOME TRAINEE TECHNICIANS

Private air-carrier Jet Airways is believed to have terminated the service contracts of 150 trainee technicians across the country, although the airline said only 43 had been laid off. "The company has abruptly terminated the service contracts of 150 trainee technicians across the country.
In Mumbai alone, the company has handed over pink- slips to 46 trainee technicians," a laid-off technician said. However, a Jet spokesperson said "only 43 trainee technicians have been (retrenched) in accordance with their contract terms and in compliance with law".
A delegation of Raj Thackeray''s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena activists is believed to have taken up the issue and is holding a meeting with the Jet Airways management, asking for these employees to be taken back. "We have already completed our one-year training period but in April 2008, the management extended the training period saying that the aviation industry was in recession and hence they were not being confirmed," the technician said.
"We had accepted the company''s proposal but now it has terminated our services midway," he added.

ELECTION COMMISION ON VARUN GANDHI

The Election Commission Sunday night held Varun Gandhi, a Bharartiya Janata Party (BJP) nominee for Lok Sabha polls from Uttar Pradesh, guilty of breaching the model code of conduct and asked the party not to field him as candidate.“The two speeches (by Varun Gandhi) contained highly derogatory references and seriously provocative language of a wholly unacceptable nature against a certain community,” the Election Commission order said.
The commission considered the speeches as a grave violation of the model code of conduct, apart from amounting to promoting feelings of enmity and hatred between different classes on the ground of religion, outraging the religious feeling of a particular community, and promoting hatred and ill-will between two classes of citizens and provoking a section of the citizens to indulge in violence,” the order said.
“Any sponsorship of his candidature by the BJP, or any other political party at this election, would be perceived as endorsing his unpardonable acts of inciting violence and creating feelings of enmity and hatred between different classes of citizens of India, destroying the social, democratic and plural fabric of the country,” it said.

VARUN GANDHI OF B.J.P. IN CONTROVERY

The Shiv Sena has come out strongly in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate for the Pilibhit Lok Sabha constituency, Varun Gandhi, whose alleged communal remarks have raised a controversy.
In an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamna on Wednesday, the Sena even expressed its admiration for Varun’s father Sanjay Gandhi, saying if he was alive the Congress would not have been so wishy-washy on the issue of fundamentalism in the Muslim community.
The editorial says that Mr. Varun Gandhi, was indeed speaking the truth. The code of conduct for elections meant that people had to talk, write and do everything carefully. Only Hindus had to be careful while it was free-for-all for Muslims.
Waxing eloquence on Mr. Gandhi, the editorial observes that the young man is a forceful reminder of his father. It is like Sanjay Gandhi is reborn and speaking through his son. Not sparing his mother Maneka Gandhi, the editorial says that she vacated the Pilibhit seat for her son so that she could spend the rest of her life caring for stray dogs, cats and birds.
It is Mr. Varun Gandhi who has his father’s qualities. Sanjay Gandhi was controversial but he did not stoop to woo Muslims voters,
