ANDHRA PRADESH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION INVITES APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LECTURERS IN DEGREE COLLEGE

NOTIFICATION NO. 12/2009
LECTURERS IN GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGES IN A.P. COLLEGIATE EDUCATION SERVICE
Date of Notification – 13/10/2009

Applications are invited On-line through the proforma Application to be made available on WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) from 10/11/2009 to 31/12/2009 (to 28/12/2009 for payment of fees) for recruitment to the post of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges in A.P. Collegiate Education Service.
The Commission has dispensed with the sale of applications through HPOs / Sales Counter of
Commission’s office. The desirous eligible Candidates may apply ON-LINE by satisfying themselves with theterms and conditions of this recruitment.

Educational Qualifications:- i) Good academic record with a minimum of 55% of the marks or an
equivalent Grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Masters Degree level, in the relevant subject, obtained from the Universities recognized in India.
ii) Should have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC or SLET conducted by the APPSC (formerly by A.P. College Service Commission.)
N.B.:1. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided, from (55% to 50% of marks) at the Master’s Level for theSC/ST category.
2. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided, (from 55% to 50% of marks) to the Ph.D., Degree holder who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991.
3. Candidates possessing Ph.D., are exempted from passing (NET/SLET) [In terms of UGC (Minimum Qualifications required for the appointment & Career Advancement of Teachers in Universities & Institutions affiliated to it) (3rd Amendment) Regulation, 2009 and hence subject to receipt of amendment to the Rules issued in G.O. Ms. No. 47 Higher Education (CE.I-1) Department., dt. 14/05/2007 from the State Government.]
Detailed Notification with breakup of vacancies, scale of pay, age, community, Educational qualifications and other instructions along with prescribed Application proforma may be viewed at WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) from 10/11/2009. After filling the necessary details, the challan will be generated in downloadable/printable PDF. Candidates are required to take printout of the challan. The Candidates are required to pay the amount indicated in the challan in any branch of State Bank of India across the country / AP Online centres and fill up application form ONLINE as detailed below.
IMPORTANT:
• The Candidate should read the Commission’s Notification and other instructions available in User’s Guide carefully before applying for the Recruitment and enter the particulars properly in the Application though ON-LINE.
• Candidates are required to retain Copy of Application form with Reference Id No. & Fee paid Challan with them for reference.
• Candidates have to submit applications only through online mode, Hand written/ Typed/ Photostat copies/ Printed Application Form will not be entertained either by APPSC directly or by Post Office nor in person.
• Candidates are advised to submit their applications through on-line well in advance of the last date to avoid last day rush.
• Detailed Notification along with proforma application will be available at WEBSITE
(www.apspsc.gov.in) from 10/11/2009.
How to pay Fees and fill in the Application Form.
I Step:- The Candidate has to log-on to the WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) and enter his/her Basic Details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Community.
II Step:- Immediately on entering the above details the Applicant will get Challan Form to pay the Fee at AP Online centers /State Bank of India.
III Step:- The Applicant should pay the prescribed Fee in any one of the A.P. On-line centers / State Bank of India and obtain Fee paid Challan with Journal Number in the first instance.
IV Step:- On the next working day after payment of Fee the Applicant should again visit WEBSITE and enter the Journal Number to get the format of Application. The applicant has to invariably fill all the columns in the Application and submit On-line .
Last date for payment of Fee at AP Online/SBI is 28/12/2009.
Last date for submission of Application is 31/12/2009.

Syllabus for Written Test of BANK OF BARODA TO BE HELD IN JANUARY2010

Written test will be Objective & Descriptive
i) Objective Tests (120 Minutes, 200 Questions, 300 Marks):
1. Test of Reasoning Ability (100 Questions, 150 Marks)
2. Test of Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions, 75 Marks)
3. Test of General Awareness on current developments (50 Questions, 75 Marks)
Candidates have to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the objective test i.e. 40% for General Category (35% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD) and 50% marks in all the objective test taken together for General Category (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD).
Negative Marks: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
ii) Descriptive Tests (60 Minutes, 5 Questions, 100 Marks):
Higher order cognitive abilities to assess knowledge on current developments and communication skills. There will be 5 compulsory questions with internal options for 100 marks
Note: The minimum qualifying marks in the descriptive test shall be 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC / PWD candidates) and the Marks so obtained shall be added to the marks obtained in the Objective Test, for preparing merit list. The descriptive papers will be assessed only of those candidates who qualify in all the objective tests and also rank sufficiently high.
iii) Interview (100 Marks)
Maximum marks for interview will be 100. Minimum qualifying marks in interview are 50% for General Category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
